The purpose of this library is to provide a console application with a basic command interpreter.

How to use

  1. Create an instance of CommandLine.
  2. Assign your About Text for your application to the AboutText property.
  3. Register one or more commands using one of the RegisterCommand overloads. Each command defines a command name and additional data. There is fluent interface for creating commands.
  4. Call Run() to start the interpreter.

Command Registration

All commands are registered with a command name. This is the first word in the command line that the user will input to invoke that command.

You provide a callback function which will be invokes when the user enters that command into the interpreter.

You can specify a min and max number of arguments that your command requires and this will be checked prior to invoking the callback.

You can provide a HelpText for each command which will be listed when the user uses the built-in help command.

You can provide single Usage line for each command with the Usage property.

A help line can be provided for each parameter using the ParameterHelp property. The first line should be a one line description. All lines are separated with a ` character.
