ParagonApi

The ParagonApi is a public, open-source project. It is easiest for the source code to be maintained within ParagonCore so that updates to the project can be made at the same time as adding the routes to DesignServer. We then keep the public repository up-to-date with any changes that are made in ParagonCore on each publish.

Making updates to the ParagonApi

  1. Create a PR with the code changes. Bump the version number in ParagonApi.csproj if necessary (while considering any other version bumps that have already been merged for the current deployment) as part of the PR.
  2. After production has been deployed, sync the changes from ParagonCore to the ParagonApi repo by deleting the ParagonApi directory in the ParagonApi repo, and copy-pasting the ParagonApi directory from ParagonCore in its place.
  3. Commit and push the changes to the ParagonApi repo.
  4. Create a NuGet package by running dotnet pack in the ParagonApi project directory.
  5. Upload the .nupkg file (located in ParagonApi\bin\Release) to NuGet and publish the new version.
