File Signature Checking
Checks the initial bytes of a file against known file signatures based on file extensions. It's a security measure, stops people uploading PDFs instead of JPGs, but does not provide 100% protection against malicious actors.
Feed a Stream of the file's contents like so:
bool result = FileSigCheck.IsValidFileSignature(filename, stream, new string[] { ".jpg", ".png", ".gif" });
If you're working with Base64 strings, you can do the following to check for b64 jpg/jpeg, png and gif images:
bool result = FileSigCheck.IsValidBase64Image(b64ImageString);
