Oakrey.Debug

Overview

The Debug project provides utilities for performance monitoring and stress testing in .NET applications. It includes tools to measure method execution time and simulate CPU load for testing purposes.

Features

Method Execution Timing:

  • The MethodStopwatch class measures the execution time of methods and the duration using Trace.WriteLine.
  • Useful for profiling and identifying performance bottlenecks.
  • For low-weight applications, where Activity is not available.

CPU Stress Testing:

  • The Stress class provides a method to simulate CPU load by consuming a specified percentage of CPU resources.
  • Ideal for testing application behavior under high CPU usage.

Installation

You can install the package via NuGet Package Manager, Package Manager Console or the .NET CLI.
