Magic.Blazor.Wasm.Protect 🧨
Explodes your Blazor WebAssembly or Hybrid app at startup if any [Sensitive]
models make it into the client.
🛡️ Why this exists
.NET 8 WebAssembly no longer trims unused code. That means if you reference a sensitive backend model anywhere, it could silently ship to the browser.
This library catches that before it's too late.
đź’Ł What it does
If anything in your client-side project has [Sensitive]
on it—even indirectly—the app will crash on startup and tell you exactly what leaked.
It’s zero config, no mercy, and only runs in dev.
🚀 How to use
- Mark sensitive models:
[Sensitive]
public class InternalOnlyModel { ... }
- In your client project, call:
#if DEBUG
MagicClientSensitiveValidator.ValidateNoSensitiveLeaks();
#endif
That’s it. If anything slips through, it’ll blow up.
âś… When to use it
- You’re building secure apps (HIPAA, finance, private logic)
- You’re using shared projects between client + server
- You want a failsafe against accidental exposure
