The Orthogonal.Common.Basic package contains miscellaneous utility classes that are not intended for use in production software, but may be of interest to software developers who have a hobby interest in subjects like random numbers, cryptography, checksums, maths and ID3 tagged files.

This library was originally created back in the earliest days of .NET as a place to accumulate reusable classes and utility code. The early library became quite bloated and jumbled, but that trend was reversed in the last decade as newer .NET Frameworks and NuGet packages have made a lot of the original library redundant. The classes remaining in the package are present mostly for technical or historical interest.
